2010 Jefferson Award Recipient for Community Service Relating to Organ Donation

RIODAC works to increase organ and tissue donation through public education about the critical need for donor organs and tissue. We offer informational programs in schools, workplaces and the community, hold donor drives and public awareness events, do media outreach, and collaborate with member agencies. RIODAC also provides information and support to transplant recipients, candidates, and donor families through newsletters, monthly informational programs and co-sponsorship of a Transplant Support Group at Rhode Island Hospital.
