you have the power to donate life. RIODAC is a non-profit organization comprised of people living in Rhode Island and nearby southeastern Massachusetts who are concerned with the critical need for organ donation. Coalition membership is made up of transplant recipients and their families, donor families, healthcare professionals and representatives of other organizations concerned about promoting public awareness of the medical miracles made possible through organ donation and transplantation. RIODAC's primary objectives are to: • educate the public about the tremendous need for organ & tissue donation • correct misconceptions about donation • create a willingness to donate • provide informational resources related to transplantation issues RIODAC also provides support for transplant recipients and those awaiting transplantation, a list that grows longer every day as medical technology offers the transplant option to increasing numbers of patients. The availability of organ donors is simply not keeping up with the demand. Join us. You can make a difference. |
